A long long time ago half the earth had sun,and half the earth had darkness.
in the half of the earth that was bright, was a town named Sunny City. Sunny City was a very happy place, for a very long time. It was always bright and happy, over time,the citizens of Sunny City complained more and more about how sunny it was,it was hot, people couldn't sleep or do anything in the dark.
On the other half of the earth, was a town called Moontropolis which had no sun at all, people enjoyed doing things in the dark until just like Sunny City, they got tired of being in the darkness all the time.
Each town knew that each other existed, the problem is, there was a big wall connecting the both of them.
One day, somebody wrote a letter to the other city telling them to break down the wall.The Citizens agreed as they had never thought of this before.The next day, everybody brought supplies and attempted to break down the wall. Day after day they worked on breaking the wall but nothing happened.
 Gaia, the goddess of the earth, noticed how hard both cities worked, and had a great idea to spin the earth. Everybody eventually went back to their homes disappointed in all the hard work they had put in. Hours pass and Gaia’s plan finally works! Moontropolis has sun, and Sunny city has darkness. People were so surprised and happy that they finally have what they want. They soon find that half the day is sun, and half the day is moon. And that is why the earth turns.
