The group hiding in the Annex gather to celebrate Hanukkah. After some celebrations, Anne tries to gather their attention.

Once Anne gathered their attention, she proceeded on giving the gifts she prepared.
Next in line was Pim and Mouschi to receive their gifts.
"Thank you for you're attention. I want to pronounce that their is gifts to be giving. "
"It's wonderful Anne. Thank You. You'd never know it wasn't new."
To finish off Anne's gift giving, is her roomate, Mr. Dussel and Peter.
Anne started off by giving Margot and Mr. Van Daan their gifts.
For my dear sister Margot, a new crossword puzzle, and for Mrs. Van Daan, Shampoo. "
"Oh Anneke!"
"Oh Anne, it's wonderful."
" For mother, a I.O.U, and for Mr. Van Daan, Cigarettes. "
"Cigarettes!"
"I wasn't supposed to get one. Oh Anne."
"For Pim and Mouschi."
" He'll love this. He'll appreciate it Anne. "
"Now I can rest in peace."
"Last but not least, Ear plugs for Mr. Dussel, and something for Peter."
