This is my depicted scene from Salt To The Sea, in the section where the group is crossing the lagoon, and Russian fighter planes shot at them, hitting Ingrid, and sending her into the icy depths of the Lagoon. She is lost and is the clearest scene that I have read from the book.

- Ingrid is dead!, she is under the ice and shot, there is no saving her..
- No! NO!! Ingrid... She's... dead.
- We can't save her she has a bullet wound and is freezing to death by now... I'm sorry.
