- It was a cold night, Herbert and Mr. White were playing chess. Sergeant Morris came with a strange paw.
- I wish my boy alive again.
- Herbert had to go work at the factory. Mr.White wish for 200 pounds.
- The man in the suit came to the white's house and told them the bad news. Before the man in the suit left he give them $200 to compensate them for the death of their son.
- Mr. White's second wish was too make his son back alive. Mr.White and Mrs. White heard a loud noise at the door.
- Mrs. White runs down the stairs to the door. Mr. White is trying to find the monkey's paw.
- Mr. White's last wish is to make Herbert to go away. When Mrs. White opens the door nobody is there.
