- The evening was approaching, so the disciples were telling Jesus they had to go get food from the villages.
- Send the crowds away, so they can go buy themselves food at the villages.
- They don't need to go away. You give them something to eat.
- But, there is only five loaves of bread and two fish.
- Bring them here to me.
- Jesus directed the people to sit down on the grass. Looking up to heaven, he gives thanks and breaks the loaves.
- He gave the food to the people.
- They all ate and were satisfied, and there were twelve baskets of leftovers.
- The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides woman and children.
