- Character v.s Self
- I truly miss my family, but this school is just so stressful. I can't be myself without having my own name!
- What did you just say to me? You want to fight after you tell me to shut up.
- Character v.s Character
- I said shut up! I'm tired of doing this for you!
- Character vs Nature
- I can't this stupid school and everything, makes me want to throw rocks. Grrr!!!!!
- The reason why this is character vs self is because Luke is thinking about running away. The reason why he's thinking about running away is because he's so stressed out about school. Also Luke thinks that if he runs away he's putting his family in danger.
- Character vs Society
- *Third child there is a third child at the Hendricks school for Boys! Alert *
- The reason why it's character vs character is because Luke is being bullied by Jackle boy. For example Luke has to say, "I'm a fonrol",every night. He also has to do push ups and other rude and mean things to do at night. But on the bright side Luke did tell him to shut up but it didn't turn out well.

- The reason why it's character vs nature is because Luke is just sitting in the middle of the woods throwing rocks and shards of the tree next to him. Also Luke kept seeing the sky getting darker and darker, and he was racing against the time. The final reason is when Luke is thinking about making a garden.

- A conflict is when Luke is a third child and he's called a shadow child. The reason for this conflict is because his parents had him after his two brothers. Another conflict is the big Hendricks school for Boys not having window. The reason for this is because the students can't see outside and think about their families.
