- I have learned many things from my experience of war in Iran. One of the main lessons I took with me was to always stand up for what you believe in. Go to that demonstration, and make that change. You never know...a small action can make a big change. Was is hard and very traumatizing, but it makes you realize and see things you never thought you would have. Fight for your rights!
- While life may never be the same, we have done a very good job at adapting to this new world. Yes, things changed, but sometimes it's for the better. It will still always be hard...but we went at life with a positive outlook and everything worked out. 
-  After seeing what happened with my mom, I decided it was time for me  to make a change. I went to demonstrations which was nice because if was a unifier of society in a complex time. "The 1979 revolution, which brought Iranians across many different social groups, has its roots in Iran's long history" (direct quote: Britannica.com).

- Today was the day that my own mother faced hatred. She was minding her own business in town, when some scary guy started screaming at her! He had no reason to judge her for anything, let alone say awful things to her. I always thought this stuff happened to other people, not my family...But life went on, it had too. 
- Get out of my sight you filthy animal, and cover those arms!
