- Jonas' assigned number to receive his assignment was 19, the Chief Elder skipped it
- 18.... 20....
- 19?!
- The Chief Elder rarely makes mistakes, so she apologizes to Jonas for giving him anxiety as his number was skipped.
- Jonas, I apologize to you in particular. I caused you anguish.
- The Reciever is a renowned job, and instead of the usual "assigned" the Chief Elder says that Jonas has been selected.
- Jonas has not been assigned. Jonas has been selected to be our next Reciever of Memory
- Since the Reciever is such a vital job, the Elders and most adults look back in remorse about the last selection
- We failed in our last selection. We have not been hasty this time. We could not afford another failure
- Jonas has most of the traits for a Receiver of Memory, he supposedly learns wisdom during training, however he doesn't know what Capacity to See Beyond is.
- Jonas needs intelligence, courage, integrity, wisdom, and the Capacity to See Beyond
- Jonas feels accepted by the community and makes him a little more ready for his new assignment.
