  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • There once was a poor woodcutter who lived in a tiny cottage in the woods with his two children and his second wife. The blonde girl was called Gretel and the boy was called Hansel.
  • Climax
  • The second wife kept nagging the woodcutter about the children, saying that there were too many mouths to feed and there wasn't enough food for them all so finally, the woodcutter agreed to abandon his kids in the forest. Hansel overheard this conversation and came up with a plan.
  • Falling Action
  • Later that night, Hansel comforted Gretel and after everyone was asleep, he went outside to pick some little white pebbles. In the evening of the next day, the woodcutter took his kids into the woods. Hansel dropped the pebbles along the way and sure enough they were abandoned in the woods. The little white pebbles gleamed in the moonlight and they managed to find their way back.
  • Resolution
  • They managed to get home but the next day, the woodcutter abandoned them yet again. This time Hansel brought bread as the way to get back home but at night, they were all gone. They then decided to explore the forest and found a candy cottage. With no where to go, and no food to eat they started eating the house. (I tried making it myself because there wasn't a candy cottage so that's why it doesn't look good)
  • The witch that resides in the cottage came outside and took the children in, Hansel was trapped in a cage and fed a lot of sweets and treats meanwhile Gretel was forced to do chores. The cannibalistic witch wanted to eat Hansel. The next few days he was fed a lot of junk food and then was asked to let the witch feel his finger, Gretel let her touch a bone and since her eyesight was bad she couldn't tell.
  • The witch couldn't wait anymore so she told Gretel to start the fire in the oven. She then asked Gretel to see if the fire was hot enough. Gretel claimed that she couldn't tell so the witch went to the oven to see for herself. Gretel ran behind her and pushed her into the oven and locked the door. She released Hansel then they made their way home to their father who said their step-mom was dead and they lived happily ever after.
