  • Ay, ay, a scratch, a scratch. Marry, ’tis enough.Where is my page?—Go, villain, fetch a surgeon.
  • I am hurt.A plague o’ both houses! I am sped.Is he gone and hath nothing?
  • What, art thou hurt?
  • Courage, man, the hurt cannot be much.
  • No, ’tis not so deep as a well, nor so wide asa church door, but ’tis enough. ’Twill serve. Ask forme tomorrow, and you shall find me a grave man. Iam peppered, I warrant, for this world. A plague o’both your houses! Zounds, a dog, a rat, a mouse, acat, to scratch a man to death! A braggart, a rogue, avillain that fights by the book of arithmetic! Why thedevil came you between us? I was hurt under yourarm.
  • Help me into some house, Benvolio,Or I shall faint. A plague o’ both your houses!They have made worms’ meat of me.I have it, and soundly, too. Your houses!
  • I thought all for the best.
  • Directly after Tybalt stabs Mercutio leaving a deadly wound on him. Tybalt and his followers leave the area. Romeo and Benvolio are staying with Mercutio as Mercutio's page finds a doctor. 
  • This gentleman, the Prince’s near ally,My very friend, hath got this mortal hurtIn my behalf. My reputation stainedWith Tybalt’s slander—Tybalt, that an hourHath been my cousin! O sweet Juliet,Thy beauty hath made me effeminateAnd in my temper softened valor’s steel.
  • This day’s black fate on more days doth depend.This but begins the woe others must end.
  • Mercutio replies to Romeo blaming him for his injuries claiming that him stepping in to stop the fight was unnecessary as it was not a real fight.
  • O Romeo, Romeo, brave Mercutio is dead.That gallant spirit hath aspired the clouds,Which too untimely here did scorn the earth.
  • Benvolio and a servant take Mercutio to the doctor. They all exit except Romeo.
  • Here comes the furious Tybalt back again.
  • Romeo is talking to himself in the grief of his friend's injury. He feels as though it was his fault Mercutio is hurt because he did not accept Tybalt's challenge to a duel. Leading to Mercutio having to battle Tybalt to restore Romeos honor.
  • Benvolio returns informing Romeo of Mercutio's Death. they both grieve at such a cursed day as they remember Mercutio.
  • Romeo is in rage after seeing Tybalt, alive and his friend dead, he in rage says that he will fight Tybalt or die trying
  • Alive in triumph, and Mercutio slain!Away to heaven, respective lenity,And fire-eyed fury be my conduct now.—Now, Tybalt, take the “villain” back againThat late thou gavest me, for Mercutio’s soulIs but a little way above our heads,Staying for thine to keep him company.Either thou or I, or both, must go with him.
