  • What are you boys doing?
  • So, do we have a deal?
  • Deal!
  • To be rich, you must be financially literate.
  • how do I get rich?
  • Maybe a break wouldn't be so bad.
  • I don't need to learn how to sell!
  • Robert asked his dad (Poor Dad) on how to make money, his father then told him told to use his head. So, Robert went to form a partnership with his friend Mike to find a way to make money. Eventually, they later came up with a plan. Weeks later, Robert's dad came home one day with a friend of his to find him doing something in the driveway. He asked what they were doing and Robert told him that they were making money buy casting nickels from toothbrush tubes.
  • Robert and Mike then went to Mike's dad (Rich Dad) to ask how to make money. The rich dad agreed to teach them, but only if they work for him 10 cents per hour. Robert and mike both agreed to work for him.
  • Rich dad took Mike (green) and Robert (red) for a walk. Rich dad began to persuade them to work for more money, from 25 cents to 2 dollars to 5 dollars an hour. Robert and Mike were astonished and were eager to take the deal, but as the price went higher, they became more more hesitant, now realizing that this was a test. rich dad was pleased that they passed the test later explaining that emotions like fear and greed motivates others to work for money rather than the opposite.
  • Three in a half decades later, Robert has retired at the age of 47 with a growing wealth. He states that in wealth, it's not about how much you make, but how much you keep for generations. So when people ask him how to get rich, he gives them the same answer as his Rich dad gave to him. You must be financially literate.
  • Robert studied the history of taxes, he saw an interesting point of view.He saw that as the government hunger for money grew, taxes is then levied on the middle class. He also noticed that the rich saw that as a opportunity due to corporations and understanding the cooperate structure. This would give the rich an advantage to work around taxes and outsmarting intellectuals.
  • Late at night, Robert decided to take a break from writing and watch some television. He stumble upon a program showing Alexander Graham Bell trying to sell his company to Western Union for $100,000. Western Union didn't see any benefit and declined his offer. his company then became a multi-billion dollar company. He later states that Financial genius requires technical knowledge as well as courage. He states that you must be bold and take risk to be better.
  • Robert was interviewed a few years ago in Singapore by a journalist who wanted to be a best-selling author like him. Robert then suggested she should take a course in sales training. This offended her, she stated that she has a master's in English Literature and couldn't see how learning to sell would benefit. She said that she would never stoop that low to learn how to sell and left the interview. Robert later states that too many people specialize rather then learning more than one skill.
  • Robert's poor dad thought a good education, job, and years of hard work is all you need to live a good life. Rich dad also believed that a good education was important. But to him he also believed that Mike and Robert should know the difference between type of income and which one to work hard for. Robert's final thoughts state that all us were given the gift of mind and time. And that every dollar that goes to your hand , you have the power to determine weather you become poor, middle, or wealthily.
