- Well both the state and federal governments collect taxes, and some of that money ends up helping schools
- So both governments are paying for my pencils?”
- Why does our school get new supplies all of a sudden?
- Both the state and federal governments help fund the school because taxation is a concurrent power they share. The federal government can support schools using its Article I, Section 8 power to tax and spend for the general welfare, which is why federal money can be used alongside state funding.
