- Pathos: She generates frustration and sadness in the viewers by showing how Truman is surrounded by people who are not real. Despite the superficial interactions of kindness, the audience is aware that these interactions are fake.
- Vivien
- Glisser: 3
- Pathos: He generates feelings of frustration and desperation in the audience because is clear in the movie that Truman is seeking freedom, and Burke is holding him back in the name of a "law" that doesn't really exist.
- Ethos: Truman trusts him as an authority figure within his community since he appears to be a reliable person.
