England vs Spain

- Spain never loses!
- We will not be defeated!
- England: Queen Elizabeth was Protestant. Even though England had much less ships from spain they were able to navigate well though the english channel. They were faster and more maneuverable then the spanish fleet.
- Spain: King Phillip II of Spain was part of the catholic church. Spain had a strong navy and 130 powerful ships they sent to the english channel. The Spanish Armanda was also known as the invincible Armanda because they had never lost.
- Queen Elizabeth turned England back to the Protestant church. Her half sister Queen Mary was a devoted catholic and so as soon as Elizabeth was given the throne she converted England.
- Convert to the Catholic Church!
- King Phillip was very involved in the catholic church and wanted all of Europe to be. He wanted the Protestant out of Europe.
- England is Protestant!
- The English weather played a big part in the defeat of the Armada. As the Spanish sailed round England, they encountered terrible weather
