- Covey has to work in all weather and he has no time to eat.
- Resolution
- Yes finally I have shown my worth!
- Frederick is dizzy and tells Covey and Covey kicks him
- NO! YOU HAVE TO KEEP WORKING IM GOING TO KICK YOU!
- Covey attacks Douglass and he fights back
- NO PLEASE STOP!
- After he fights back other slave owners are scared to whip him so he doesn't get whipped anymore.
