- On April 10th, 2002, a woman named Abigail gave birth to a baby girl named Riley. Then on April 13th, while Abigail was taking Riley home, a man caught them and chased them with a knife to kill Abigail and her baby
- Get back here! You can't escape me!
- Glisser: 2
- Abigail ran to her sister, Catherine's apartment and knocked at her door, then she tried to defend herself from the man that was chasing her, but it was too late, the man had killed her and ran away leaving his knife behind. When Catherine opened the door, she was shocked to see her sister dead and started to cry
- Don't worry sister, I will take care of your baby girl, Riley
- Glisser: 3
- Nine years later, Riley has already turned 9 on Sunday. Catherine had raised her for nine years after her sister died to protect her from anything bad that is going to happen. Now young Riley and her aunt are going to the school where Riley goes and drop her off
- Ready for school Riley?
- Yes, Aunt Catherine
- Backpack Riley
- Glisser: 4
- But while Riley was at school, something kept wondering in her head. She kept wondering what happened to her mom.
- What happened to my mom?
- Glisser: 5
- Later that night, while Riley was sleeping, she kept wondering why her Aunt Catherine has not told her what happened to her mother.
- Why has my Aunt Catherine not told me what happened to my mother?
- Backpack Riley
- Glisser: 6
- Riley really wanted to know what happened to her mother, so she decided to go on an adventure and tell her aunt Catherine she was going out for a bit
- Okay, Riley. Have fun and be careful out there.
- Bye, Aunt Catherine. I'm going out for a bit
- I will.
- Glisser: 7
- As Riley was walking, a man was following her like he did nine years ago, he chased her with a knife!
- Get back here young lady! You can't escape me like your mother nine years ago!
- Glisser: 8
- Riley knew she had to hide from the man that was chasing her. She found a graveyard and hid there until the man was gone, soon she saw the ghost of her mother, Riley asked "Why did you leave me nine years ago? Her mother said "That man that was chasing you was your father." Riley said "My father?!" Her mom said "Yes, when you were a baby nine years ago, your dad did not want you or me and threatened to kill you and me. I brought you over to your Aunt Catherine's apartment just to save your life and sacrifice my life
- That man that was chasing you was your father
- Why did you leave me, mother?
- Glisser: 9
- Riley knew she could not hide forever, so she decided to head back to town and fight with her father. She grabbed an old knife from a tree, soon Riley and her father went into a big battle!
- You killed my mother all those years ago!
- She was weak and foolish!
- Glisser: 10
- A police officer caught them fighting, Riley told the officer that her father killed her mother nine years ago and told the officer to arrest him
- Your under arrest for murder!
- Officer, arrest my father!
- Glisser: 11
- When Riley returned home, her aunt Catherine was upset and worried about Riley gone for too long.
- Riley! Where have you been? I was so worried about you!
- Glisser: 12
- As Catherine listened to Riley's story, Riley started to cry
- The man that was chasing me was my father and killed my mother all those years ago
- Backpack Riley
- Glisser: 13
- When Riley was done with her story, Catherine was surprised and shocked about the truth about what happened to Riley's mother
- Riley, I am glad you told the whole story about what really happened to your mother
- Backpack Riley
- Glisser: 14
- Riley, I am so sorry, I did not tell the truth about your mother
- It's okay, Aunt Catherine
- Backpack Riley
- Glisser: 15
- I am so proud that you were so brave to tell the officer about what your father did to your mother
- Thank you, Aunt Catherine
- Backpack Riley
- Glisser: 16
- And so, Riley and her aunt Catherine started to spend time together most of the time and went out sometimes, Catherine never kept a secret from Riley ever again. Riley returned to school, and everything went back to normal
