- Tom’s wife determined to drive the bargain on her own account, and if she succeeded, to Tom Walker wants proof first. This shows that he is smart before making quick decision.
- All these were under his command, and protectedby his power, so that none could find this treasurewithout doing him a favor.The devil controls the souls of those who are driven by wealth/ earthly girly.
