- Between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn (approximately between 23.5° North and 23.5° South), the seasons are not defined by temperature but mainly by rainfall. This region experiences two main seasons: a wet season and a dry season.
- The wet season occurs when the Sun is directly overhead or close to directly overhead
- The dry season occurs when the Sun is further away, and there's less rainfall. This region doesn't have the typical four-season cycle of winter, spring, summer, and fall, but a more wet/dry cycle due to being so close to the equator.

- An equinox occurs when the Earth’s axis is not tilted toward or away from the Sun. This means that the Sun’s rays hit the Earth directly at the equator, making day and night approximately equal in length. There are two equinoxes each year: 1. Spring Equinox (around March 20-21) – This marks the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and fall in the Southern Hemisphere. Both hemispheres experience nearly equal daylight and night hours. 2. Fall Equinox (around September 22-23) – This marks the beginning of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and spring in the Southern Hemisphere. Again, both hemispheres experience roughly equal day and night le0ngths.

- The reasons for seasons is because of the Earths Axis. When it’s tilted there is more sunlight and warmth to one hemisphere and not as much to the other one. Thus creating seasons
