- "Congratulations. You beat them, and it's all over."
- All over. Beat them. Ender didn't understand. "I beat *you*."
- This was the Third Invasion. There were no games, the battles were real, and the only enemy you fought was the buggers. You won every battle, and today you finally fought them at their home world, where the queen was, all the queens from all their colonies, they all were there and you destroyed them completely. They'll never attack us again. You did it. You."
- Ender had went into the final battle and destroyed all the buggers in the game. But after when everyone was celebrating Ender found out it wasnt just a game.
- "I killed them all, didn't I?" Ender asked
- "All who?" asked Graff. "The buggers? That was the idea."
- Mazer explained to Ender that he wasnt just playing a game and that that was the third invasion and ender had gotten rid of all the buggers.
- . "I didn't want to kill them all. I didn't want to kill anybody! I'm not a killer! You didn't want me, you bastards, you wanted Peter, but you made me do it, you tricked me into it!" He was crying. He was out of control.
- "Of course we tricked you into it. That's the whole point," said Graff. "It had to be a trick or you couldn't have done it.
- Ender was shocked and went back to his room he was to tired to comprehend what had just happened so he went to sleep and slept through the whole day.
- Graff and Mazer Rackham went to wake up Ender and talk to him about the videos of the battle being shared on earth. They tell Ender that he is a hero but Ender doesn't think that. Ender finally processes that he killed all the buggers and even sent pilots to die.
- Ender starts bawling and yelling saying he didn't want to kill them and that they tricked him into. Graff then explains that they had to trick him into it or else he couldnt have done it.
- Ender had nightmares about killing the buggers and lives with the guilt of killing the queen and all the children and families every day. Ender gets the chance to redeem himself for what he had done to the buggers and he restarts their colony by finding a home for the queen egg.
