- The story starts with the head of the Lee family's having a cancer.
- I know this is hard for you Mrs. Lee, but I have to inform you that Mr. Lee's condition is not good. In fact, Mr. Lee only rely to the machine's support to live. As a doctor, I suggest you that we do an euthanasia.
- Mr. Lee was diagnose with cancer last year, sadly, the cancer was so aggressive that in short period of time, the cancer spread in his body, leaving the family with no choice but to use machine in order to keep Mr. Lee alive.
- This way, your husband will not suffer anymore, and although i know you don't mind about the money, but it will also save you tons of money as the equipment is costly.
- How dare you say that! My brother is still alive! You can clearly see his heart rate at the monitor, why would you even offer something to the patient's family?!
- The family of the patient went home to discuss the situation at hand. Will they let their love one go or continue the treatment even though the doctor said that Mr. Lee's life only depends on the life support machine?
- I know you this is hard for you, Mr. Lee, but the patient's life only depends on the life support of the machine. The reason why Mr. Lee's heart rate is still going on the monitor, is because of the life support.
- What should we do? Is there, really, no other way, doctor?
- We would like to think this through.
- I understand. Please excuse me for a while.
- I'm so sorry Mrs. Lee, but with the cancer spread throughout his body, there is nothing we can do.
- The next day, the family of Lee went to the hospital to bid the patient their las goodbye as they decided to do the euthanasia.
- The doctor took off the life support machine from the patient as the family were mourning.
- Sometimes, mercy killing is the only solution to end the suffering of the patient, especially if the chances of surviving is less than 30%. The story is based on a real story that sometimes occur on the hospital.
- The family visit the patient for the last time and pour their heart for seeing their love one for the last time.
