- I think I'm gonna marry Sandy. After she gets out of school and I get a better job and everything
- In Chapter 1, Soda and Darry show familial love to Pony after he gets jumped by the socs and they save him. They also comfort him.
- Hmm the bologna looks good
- On page 16, Soda shows romantic love towards Sandy. He shows interest in his girlfriend and wants to marry her, but waits for when she's done with high school out of respect and best interest for her.
- In chapter 4 Johnny kills a Soc to defend himself and Pony. Johnny loves Pony so much he killed someone for him.
- In chapter 5 Johnny shows brotherly love by going out and getting supplies for them while Pony is asleep
