- the winter at valley forge had some problems but got through. one problem was food shortages and medicine. but it did have advantages such as the position and how there would be no major war

- Washington chose valley forge because of its winters. the winters are muddy and cold. so it would not start a big fight, during winters

- Soldiers Quarters
- The armies engineers directed the people to build houses, they started building houses out of 2,00 logs on army street. Washington demanded that 2 windows on each cabin.defensive trenches were built to fight in.

- one problem that they faced was... the winter. the Washington army had a lack of items. such as, shoes, coats, housing, just to name a few.

- Baron Fredrick von Steuben was a Prussian general. he was recuriteds by Ben Franklin . he work on the training program. he did not speak any english
