- IntroductionMeet Harper, a curious explorer who loves discovering new things. One day, Harper finds a mysterious path that leads to Organic City, where four special friends are waiting to teach Harper about the four main organic compounds. Carla teaches Harper about carbohydrates and how they give the body energy, Peter explains how proteins help build and repair the body, Wally shows how lipids store energy and help cells, and Nova introduces DNA and RNA and the instructions they carry. Throughout the adventure, Harper asks questions, follows clues, and explores each part of Organic City with the group. By the end, Harper discovers that even though carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids have different jobs, they all work together to help living things survive.

- Hi, I’m Harper! I made this book to teach younger readers about the four main organic compounds. I learned that carbohydrates provide energy. proteins build and repair the body, lipids store energy and help cells, and nucleic acids hold important genetic information.
