- HELLO, GAURI AND JIYA. Do you remember when we used to implement inorganic farming in the fields of Chhatarpur farm?
- Oh yes! how can I forget when we used to use chemical fertilizers to promote the growth of crops!
- HMM!
- There were so many negatives of inorganic farming like environmental pollution, agriculture led to overgrazing, acidification of the soil and mineral depletion of the soil.
- But friends, Inorganic Farming was not that bad. It had so many positive impacts such as- it was way cheaper than organic farming, it was effective and produced more crops at the same time.
- But Jiya, don't you think Inorganic Farming is hazardous for our health?
- Well you are right and now that we do organic farming by using compost pits and ecologically based pest controls it reduces soil erosion, decreases nitrate reaching into groundwater and surface water.
- Yes Guys, you are right. Organic Farming is a little expensive but there are so many advantages like- soil Protection, better nutrition, healthy working environment around farms and resistance to pests and diseases.
