- And own property and finances and the whole country, right? There's a reason we withheld those rights!
- This era was also focused on women's rights, especially the right to vote and access the same opportunities as men.

- The bar has been a ghost town since the temperance movement started. I've lost half my business.
- The Temperance Movement, also referred to as prohibition, aimed to reduce or eliminate alcohol consumption, both to keep in line with the gospel and prevent alcohol-related abuse. This was a less permanent change brought about by progressive groups.
