- Good News! Britain has passed the Tea Act. Now the British East India Company can sell tea directly to the colonies and tea will be cheaper.
- Excellent. Because the Townshend Act remains on tea, Britain will still be able to tax the colonists!

- The colonists are not happy...
- This is taxation without representation!
- Rally the Sons of Liberty!

- November, 1773
- The Dartmouth is entering Boston Harbor and it's loaded with cases of tea
- There are 2 more ships coming...the Elenor and the Beaver. There are hundreds of chests on board.
- Glisser: 4
- Governor Thomas Hutchinson, you must send these ships back to Britain!
- I won't do that. They must unload and we must pay the tax!

- The Sons of Liberty Meet to Hatch a Plan
- Hear, hear!!
- If they tax us without representation, we must resist!!

- They board the 3 ships in the Harbor
- There are 342 chests of tea!
- We will show them what we think of their taxes

- The Intolerable Acts of 1774 are passed by Britain as retaliation for the Boston Tea Party
- They need to know that Britain is still in charge!
- We will close the port of Boston so they can't get supplies until they pay! We won't let them govern themselves, and they will have to house our soldiers in their homes!
