But don't you see? When you say the food has no spiritual meaning, you start doing that to everything else too like politics and education. You end up pushing religion into a tiny corner of your life.
Because in the 'modern' world, we've liberated nature from all those religious interpretations. It’s called Disenchantment of Nature. We can just enjoy or exploit things for our own use without worrying about spiritual rules.
