The British government put a tax on the colonists saying they must pay for a stamp on important documents/papers. This caused the colonists to protest and burn papers, stamps, and start riots.

The British government decided to put a tax on tea, paint, lead, and other imports. The British also were told that they can search boats and houses without a warrant.
A riot in Boston involving the colonists and The British, specifically Captain Preston soldiers. The British soldiers took the lives of 5 people on March 5th, 1770 because of the large group of colonists threatening them.
The people in Boston were mad about being taxed for tea so they dumped the Tea into the Harbor on ships.
