As you all know, we had to go through a lot to get here.
Thank you all for coming for the signing of The Treaty of Ghent.
....Let us not forget the Chesapeake-Leopard Affair.....
First, we have been dealing with impressment for years.
The British bordered our boats and stole our men
The British and French do not respect us and there is no freedom on the seas.
Oh my gosh, look at all this land!!! I want it so bad!!! I can't believe Britain has it.
Still kinda want that land BUT we had a good run trying to get it.
We also have to admit that we longed for more land, especially British Canada
WAR!!!
Why would we not defend our honor as a nation?
