- Hello, my name is Adam Smith.I was born June 16,1723.I was raised in England in the bustling town of Kirkcandy.
- I am a Scottish political economist and philosopher.Through out my lifetime I have written many works, but I am best known for my book,"The wealthy of Nations," written in 1776
- When I was only two months old my father died because he passed away when I was so young I became very close to my mother ,Margaret Douglas
- As I got older and graduated college a series of public lectures delivered to me led me to collaborate with philiopsher David Hume,during Scottish Enlightenment.We shared a close intellectual bond , which inspired me to write many literary works and come up with theories. I was deeply influenced by Francis Hutcheson, a famous professor of moral philosophy/
- I came up with many theories such as minimizing the role of government intervention and taxation in free and the idea that an "invisible hand" guides supply and demand.Since I have become very credible I am also know as "THE FATHER OF MODERN ECONOMICS".
- I also argued that against mercantilism was a major advocate of laissez-faire economic policies.
- I died on Jully 17,1790 and I detailed the first system of political economy on my deathbed, I believed to have regretted that I had not achieved enough. As a last wish of mine I wanted my personal papers to be destroyed after my death.
