GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organism
Hello, I'm Carson and I am going to tell you about GMOs
Like a banana that gives vaccines
GMOs can be put on plants to make them better.
Or a cabbage that was injected with venom to kill caterpillars
This may sound dangerous but these are actually not harmful to humans
GMOs can also effect animals to make them help with everyday materials or to just experiment
these include a cat that can glow in the dark.
Or a goat that was given the gene to make silk from a spider to make silk in its milk
Selective breeding is the process of taking two parents and breeding them to make offspring that have the same genetics as the parents
for example farmers breaded red flowers and white flowers to make pink flowers
Another example is that when farmers had a lot of chickens they would breed the biggest chickens to get bigger offspring.
