Texte du Storyboard

  • Cold! Food!
  • Jonas finally looked up from the sled, but he did not see the town he so certainly thought he had reached. There were no homes, no paths or roads, and no colourful lights. Or was he wrong about that last one? Looking up into the sky, Jonas saw something with such a brilliance that he had never seen before. Above him, purple and green danced together, standing out against the dark of night.
  • He then noticed that Gabriel was crying. He stopped looking at the sky, and looked towards the young child. It was then that he realized he could not save them. They were stranded in the middle of a desert of snow. Those words came to him quickly, though he did not have the energy to question why. He should have gone alone. Then at least, Gabriel would not have had to endure so much pain and hunger. Release, he assumed, was almost painless apart from the injection.
  • Jonas now cried too. Those thoughts were just too much to bear. It took him a while to realize that Gabriel had stopped crying. Jonas' tears had frozen on his face, and he struggled to open his eyes. When he was finally able to see, he wished he couldn't. He wanted his eyes to shut and never open again. In front of him, Gabriel laid lifeless in the snow.
  • With a sudden new found strength, Jonas burried Gabriel in the snow. He didn't know why he did it, but it felt right. The movement slightly heated his body, melting the frost off of his face. Still, he was too cold and weak to move again. He simply stood and watched the area where Gabriel lay beneath the snow.
  • Deep inside, a small part of him wanted to continue going forward, to get to elsewhere. But that was ridiculous. He was already there, and he had done what he needed to do. Jonas fell backwards and landed on the soft snow. He slowly sank, and the snow eventually consumed him.
  • Jonas was on a beach, and the sun was setting. He could feel the warmth from the sunshine covering his entire body. He had always enjoyed the memories of sunsets when he had been lucky enough to recieve them. This was better than any of those. He walked forward into the water. As soon as it touched him, Jonas was filled with joy, happiness, and greatest of all, love. He was with Gabriel.
