Penguins - Natural Selection

Texte du Storyboard

  • These are penguins, which are flightless birds. They went through a process called natural selection, and eventually, their wings became usless for flying.
  • Now, we will have a closer look on the peguins themselves. We will be analyzing the organisms when they could fly, and then, we will see how they changed.
  • Penguins have two main reasons as to why they don't fly anymore, which is lack of predators and food.
  •
  • In this first scenario, we can see how the penguin is flying and looking for food. A normal penguin's diet consists of marine creatures like squid, shrimp, and fish, which are not able to fly either.
  • In this second scenario, there is a penguin that has been alerted, but, there is no threat. This is because there were not enough predators for penguins, meaning they didn't need a defense mechanism to fly away from being eaten.
  • "predators"
  • In these occasions, we observed the process of defense and survival that penguins originally had, but these are not the way that these organisms act in modern day, and here is why.
