- Rivers they traveled
- Lewis, Clark, heavy supplies, and a crew of over 40 departed from St.Louis. They did this because they wanted to make contact with native Americans, find new plants and animals, and find a water route to the pacific ocean.
- A plant they discovered
- They stopped and ran into the Sioux Indians, native Americans. Clark offered them gifts and they performed a Scalp dance. after these events, Clark and Lewis continued on their adventure.
- A animal they discovered
- They planned to use rivers and waterways to travel all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Some of the rivers they traveled were the Missouri, Ohio, Yellowstone, and the Columbia rivers.
- Water Route to The Pacific Ocean
- One plant they discovered is Indian tobacco. It had medicinal properties of an antispasmodic, diuretic, emetic, expectorant, stimulant, and sedative, and poultices made from the seeds, flowers, and leaves of the plants could be used as a natural remedy for asthma.
- One of the animals they discovered was a grizzly bear. They are one of the most terrifying animals that they discovered. Many of them shot the bear multiple times with a rifle and it still didn't kill them.
- They took rivers and roadways all the way to the Pacific Ocean. They took the Missouri, Ohio, Yellowstone, and the Columbia rivers.
