- Oh no! He sees the tennis ball!
- That's what we all say.

- He is not in good SHAPE. He looks angry
- Stop him now!!
- How far away is he from the ball?

- The Pythagorean Theorem will help us determine how far he is.  The hypotenuse  is 10 feet and the one leg is 6 feet.

- It's 8 feet. Hurry get him!
- Oh yeah! 6 squared which gives you 36  + x squared equals 10 squared which is 100.  Then you subtract 36 and take the square root of that number which is 64.  So, you are correct.
