- Macduff meets Malcolm in England, and the two plot how to dethrone Macbeth and reclaim their kingdom. Malcolm is suspicious of Macduff, so he tries to figure out whether the thane is loyal to Scotland or only interested in himself. After Macduff demonstrates his loyalty, the two of them join forces with ten thousand troops to defeat Macbeth.
