- Hi, my name is Brook, and I’m Afro-Latina

- My dad used to live in Spain but his parents my grandparents wanted him to go overseas and explore for his education
- Glisser: 3
- Once my dad went to college and graduated he meet my mom and they decide to move back to help my grandparent
- Glisser: 4
- That’s where my mom and dad had me when we’re in Spain till I was about 14 I had just got out of 8th grade when it happened
- Glisser: 5
- Dad got this crazy amazing phone call about a job opportunity back in Chicago where he was making money
- Glisser: 6
- So we headed off to Chicago
- Glisser: 7
- That’s where I am now my new room in my new house but I start high school tomorrow and I’m not to happy

- it’s been 3 years since I moved I made a best friend named Jackie she didn’t make me feel different of out of place like everyone else

- Welll that’s what I thought until I found her talking about me with our other friends making fun of my voice and how I looked
- Glisser: 10
- I ended up telling mom and dad how I felt and they got me a therapist to get me to talk about some stuff and figure it out

- Therapy ended up working and help me work throughout a lot of my person issue with how I viewed myself inside my race

- I then graduated and went off to college without the losers who bullied me
- Glisser: 13
- In college I meet my roommate my best friend lily who was just like me and we learned everything there was to know about each other

- Once I graduated I decide to have a family of my own my own mixed breed and help them grow and develop in the hard world
