- Dad how did people figure out about cells and create the cell theory
- Well son we have to go far back to when scientists started to figure out what cells were
- Although after a while of talking to each other a disagreements sparked between the scientists about how cells were made. Matthias thought that cells just appeared in to existence while Theodore thought cells were made from other cells through a process called cell division.
- First we have have Robert Hook who coined the name "cells", in 1665 .The reason he called them cells because they looked like a cell a monk would live in
- Then in 1838 Matthias Schleiden who was a botanist figured out that all plants were made of cells.
- Around the time another science named Theodore Schwann figured out that all animals were made of cells. The two scientists started sending letters to each other to discuss there findings. They then concluded that if all animals and plants are made of cells then all living things are made of cells
- It was an undecided argument until another scientist named Rudolph Virchow proved that cell division was how cells were made.

- Then after years of development with this idea of cell division we created the cell theory
