- Hey, I'm Anton Van Leeuwenhoek, I was a butch shopkeeper. I was the one who discovered single celled organisms and discovered animalcules, which we call today protists. I discovered all this using a simple microscope.
- Hello, I'm Robert Hooke, I was an english scientist. I looked at plant cells (cork) with a compound microscope (two lenses). I noticed that cork was made of small boxes I named them cells, because they reminded me of where monks lived.
