- Hey Poppy, I've noticed that you have been avoiding certain topics in class, and you seem to get overwhelmed, I feel anxious for you, how are you going? Is everything at home alright?
- No, I'm having PTSD flashbacks about my childhood trauma. That's why I have been avoiding english class.
- That's no good, would you like to talk about it more with me tonight? I know a great Mexican place just down the street. My shout?

- Hello, this is Poppy's mum, who is this?
- This is Alexey, Poppy's friend, I noticed that your daughter has PTSD, maybe you have noticed too?
- Yes I have noticed this as well, she has been having episodes of sweating and vomiting, at first I\ thought it was just the stomach flu, but she has been avoiding social interactions which is very common for a mental illness like PTSD. What is the reason for the call?
- I have called because I would like to recommend you send your daughter to a mental health proffessional
- A mental health professional!? Like who? And don't those things cost a lot of money?
- Nonsense! There are many low cost, support services that you can go to, specifically for PTSD, therapy such as NAMI or for childhood abuse RAINN is great! Peer support groups such as NAMI or MHFA are amazing, they provide a safe, supportive space to share experiences and learn coping strategies.
