This is from 7th grade social studies stations. You chose the case about the girl who accused the University of Michigan for being racist and helping minorities. She took the case to court. She lost because the college didn't have a set number of spots for minorities to be offered a spot at the college each year.

- My name is Barbara Gutters and I was recently denied admission to my dream school, the University of Michigan Law School.
- I have a 3.8 undergraduate GPA and amazing standardized test scores. I'm suing the university based on the law school's affirmative action policy because it considers race in admissions. Many universities consider race because they want to increase the number of minority students that are admitted each year. I know that Michigan admitted less-qualified minority applicants. This violates my federal civil rights and the Fourteenth Amendment.
- The Supreme Court decided that the University of Michigan's policy was acceptable as they didn't have a set number of offers for minority applicants.
