- WHY WERE THE PEASANTS SO ANGRY IN 1381?

- I agree, for money, I mean for our country.
- Nothing to see here, totally not a historical place that isn't supposed to be here😃
- in 1381, ordinary people were furious about the way they were forced to live and many marched to London to engage in a little bit of tomfoolery. Here's the big question: How did we get here?

- To put it simply, England and France were at war since 1369 and England was not doing well. How did they think they could turn the tables?

- The peasants were affected by this the most. Taxes has tripled since Richard || was crowned, and nobody (except the rich people) were happy.However taxes weren't the only problem.

- Wages were quite low during this period, even after the Black Death killed one third of the population, leading to shortage of workers. The surviving asked for a raise, which they were granted. However, a new law came into effect which brought wages back down;🤡.
- Their (not actual) leader appears. John Ball, a preacher that believes all men are equal in God's eye. He thinks the divide between the rich and poor must be broken for peace.
- Today's the day. On 30th may 1391, a group of King Richard ||'s tax collector were attacked and killed by an angry mob. Not long after, an army of peasants gathered and marched to London to "peacefully" resolve their issues .This was the beginning of the Peasant's Revolt.
