  • Communicating Results to Parents (M5,U4,A2)Penny ,Yanfei ,Cici
  • The quicker you create a friendly environment, the easier everything else from here on out will be.
  • 2.Reach out early, often, and for positive reasons.
  • During PTC for scenario 3
  • A teen, and probably most parents, can smell a copied text a mile away and the only thing worse than no communication is meaningless spam. And the worst of all is a text or voicemail with the wrong information.
  • Scenario 3: CommunicatingThe social skills or conduct of a student who has been misbehaving in class
  • No need to worry when you talk to parents about a misbehaving student! Follow these steps
  • Most students and parents enjoy texting, and relationships can easily grow through text. There are times to pick up the phone though, too. Google Voice is a great free tool and practically imperative for online teachers.
  • 1.Call or text.
  • 4. Silence is not golden in an online environment.
  • In a virtual setting, parents lose the ability to visit the school to ask questions and speak to the teacher. Follow up with parents 1 week after. Keep parents informed all year. If behavior/academic progress improves, ask what tools they use at home.
  • 3.Make it personal.
