- Ugh, I wish choosing a college could be easier. I want to honor my Wakandan culture by attending an HBCU, but I think an Ivy League PWI will better align with my career aspirations in tech.
- Looks like she needs our guidance...
- Yeah, I guess you guys are right. What about the PWI, though, are there any pros to that?
- Shuri, attending either an HBCU or PWI will lead to success. However, an HBCU will honor your Wakandan values and culture. By attending an HBCU, you are attending an institution that will align with your blackness AND your academic talents.
- Of course there are! We don't hate white people that much! Attending a predominately white Ivy League will expand your network opportunities and place you in a setting with some of the best. Ivy Leagues are normally more appraised -- so this increases your chance of success.Nonetheless, this is nothing you couldn't get at an HBCU!
