- There are many different kinds of games like board games, card games or team sports. It can be fun to play games with my family and other familiar people. I might want to play differently than other people and they might want to play differently than me. That's okay! Sometimes my family and I need to be flexible with how to play a game. Being flexible means being willing to try new things.

- Sometimes, I will get to choose how to play a game but other times there are instructions and rules for how the game is played. These instructions and rules make it so that everyone who is playing the game understands how to play.I might need extra time to process the rules or think about my turn. I can ask for the time I need and let others know if I don't understand how to play.

- If something unexpected happens in the game, like a change in rules or a mistake, it's okay to feel frustrated. I can take a deep breath.If the game starts to feel overwhelming, I can ask for a break.If other people have different ways of understanding and following game rules than I do, that's okay.I can be patient and flexible with my family and others when playing games
