- actually instead I shall agree then dissolve the parliament and rule without them for 11 years

- Charles I went to parliament because he wanted to raise taxes. Before parliament agreed they forced him to sign The Petition of Right.
- Parliament has executed my ministers, a result I am going to send my army in
- Round heads led by Oliver Cromwell, composed to country gentry, town-dwelling manufactures, and Puritan clergy
- The king agreed, but then immediately dissolved parliament and ruled without them for 11 years.
