Storyboard Description

Texte du Storyboard

  • " Will you identify who harmed you"
  • " That man yonder right there"
  • " Tom will you stand up please" " Tom, will you catch this please"
  • " Seemed like everytime I passed, she had something for me to do"
  • After a long speech describing what had happened from her point of view, Atticus asks kindly for Mayella to identify the man that raped her.
  • After being identified Atticus asks Tom to stand and catch a glass for him. He catches it with his right hand, as his left hand is injured and unavailable. This brings Atticus to a new conclusion that Tom probably couldn't commit the crime, due to the placement of Mayella's injuries being somewhere Tom couldn't reach.
  • As Tom is testifying, he explains that Mayella always had something for him to do he passed by, almost as if she wanted to be near him or spend time with him. In the story, Tom can be described as a mockingbird due to his morals and the type of character he is. He injures no one and offers help, yet he is accused of such a harmful deed making it unfortunate to harm him.
