I sit there and was not really sure if I wanted to be a lifeguard since the pool was not far from me I applied.
My friend Kameron calls me about applying to be a lifeguard
In the summer I had no job and had nothing to do.
A couple of days later My application got accepted and I was able to come in for training with the instructor
I meet with the instructor and talk about what I have to do for the training
I began to start training and the first part was to swim 12 laps in the pool.
she says that my test is that I have to swim a couple of laps,stay above water for 5 minutes and perform CPR on a dummy
However at the end of the training and after all the hard work I finally got the job!
The hardest part of it was was me being timed to bring a weighted dummy out of the 12 ft deep water and do CPR
Now with me getting my first job I no longer do nothing the whole summer and instead I work and get paid
I felt like I was growing up as a teenager and was glad to have more responsibilities
I tell my Mom that I was successful at getting my first job
