- This isn’t normal, David. There’s only darkness, and you’re talking into my ear.

- Amanda is a paralyzed woman who has just returned from the hospital. She meets David, the son of her next-door neighbor. After David tells Amanda of the importance of the exact moment when the worms she felt inside her body first appeared, Amanda begins to tell David how she became sick. David is keeping a bottle of river water, which he then drinks.
- Amanda informs David that she and her husband had taken a vacation away from the city with their daughter, Nina. In the countryside, she encounters Carla , her next-door neighbor and the mother of David. Carla was concerned after her son, David, drank contaminated river water.
- Without any hesitation, Carla took David to a witch doctor rather than waiting for any provincial doctor who wouldn't even make it to the clinic on time. The witch doctor tells Carla that the only way to cure her son is to swap his souls to someone else's. She agreed, but later realized her son is acting different, the spirit has taken the half of him and Amanda noticed it so she talked to David about it.
- Following the story, Amanda realized she had left Nina alone in their house before venturing out. She was limping back to their house when she ran into Carla, who seemed anxious and told Amanda that David was inside.
- While running inside, Amanda became worried when she saw Nina, who was frightened, sitting motionless beside David. Carla and David were the only ones in the room who went out on their own. Amanda's worst fear came true when David entered Nina's body.
- As the story continues, Amanda's family was scheduled to leave to return to their hometown. However, Amanda and Nina became ill after coming into contact with poison, and Carla was forced to rush them to the hospital.She then told Amanda that the doctors couldn't help them and that she was going to take them to the witch doctor who had rescued David.
