Texte du Storyboard

  • "You mustn't be afraid of the dark" since night time allows you to take in everything you received from the day into a much better meaning (Wiesel 5). It's a shame that people can't tell the difference between the two.
  • The beggar begins to explain to Elisha that the dark is actually good for people and their thoughts since it can help them better understand things than they would in the day time.
  • Elisha offers him a visit in his house, but the beggar refuses and states he has to leave. Elisha then thinks that the beggar would be "going back to the synagogue to welcome the dead" (Wiesel 5).
  • Want to come in my house?
  • No I'm fine. I have to be on my way soon
  • Before the beggar headed out, he explained to Elisha that if he wanted to find the difference between day and night, he would need to look out a window and try to spot a face. Elisha, of course, was confused at first.
  • Let me explain to you how to tell the difference between night and day. Try to look through a window and if "you see a face, any face, then you can be sure that night has succeeded day" (Wiesel 5).
